"It is a great pleasure and tremendous achievement to have this initiative. This is long overdue and it is necessary towards maintaining academic excellence within the global order. Visibility plays a crucial role in ranking any university, and there is no better way than through the Internet. Gone are the days where universities are run manually. The Covid 19 Pandemic has necessitated the hitherto Universities that are not digital to change focus and embrace technology in discharging its academic responsibilities.
From the general perspective, the DIL is conceived to address some of the fundamental legal challenges bedeviling the global legal order. It is based on the conviction that the international system requires a functioning legal framework, and that rules of international law are the foundation of this as well as the desire to establish a globalized legal program that informed the decision of the DILJ to come up with some of the specialized postgraduate programs to meet these challenges.
These programs are designed to cover a wide range of issues and fields in a contemporary globalized world, address diverse issues like basic principles and concepts establishing public international law, international economic law, international investments, world trade disputes, international finance, treaties, international and regional human rights regimes, state responsibilities and criminal trials before international criminal courts, environmental law, oil and gas law, self-determination and right to development, gender law and reproductive health and sexual rights law, terrorism and rights of the child in a globalized world as well as refugee law, the law of war and peace, Islam and global issues, comparative constitutions, conflicts of laws, diplomatic and consular laws, international intellectual property law and other modern approaches to international issues."
